Moveon.org Starts Petition In Support Of Feingold Censure Of President Bush

Moveon.org is trying to support Senator Russ Feingold’s resolution to censure President George W. Bush for authorizing illegal wiretapping by offering a petition to senators. Sign the petition! Then call your senators and let them know you’re serious about holding President George W. Bush accountable for illegal wiretapping – and that the censure is a good first step.

It’s time to take a stand for what’s right.

I dropped them a two-sentence note urging them to get behind Russ and asking them, “When Democrats are going to stand up against the Administration’s unconstitutional spying on Americans, if not when Bush’s approval numbers are in the low to mid 30′s?”

A message to a representative does not have to be lengthy, and ones that are short and to the point may actually be more effective.

And so fellow Wurf Rats, I ask you to let Durbin and Obama know where you stand and tell them to stand with you.

    Hi So-Called “Austin Mayor”,

Thanks for the info and the message to the senators!

I feel, somehow, my status has increased now that I have a “rat pack” – and you, no less, a member ;)
