According to today’s New York Times, Justin Case, John McCain’s Spokesperson/Campaign Manager/Strategist/Chief Fundraiser/Field Manager/All-Around Handy Guy, told reporters that John McCain had fired his staff because of their lobbying connections, including clients like a Russian businessman “barred from entering” the U.S. because of purported links to organized crime, the repressive totalitarian country Myanmar (Burma) and “arch-WMD and Iraq-al Qaeda bamboozler” Ahmed Chalabi whose admitted lies (admitted too late for most Americans) helped lead the U.S. into the Iraq war. When asked whether John McCain would be hiring new staff, Case reportedly said,

“I’m sure between John and me that we must know someone who isn’t a lobbyist. When we find them – we’ll hire them – at least if we can afford them. It’s been nice talking to you, but I need to brush up on fundraising tactics. I don’t know how John’s going to run without lobbyists – they’ve been such big part of the McCain campaign.”
