Tonight after being sworn in as Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn gave a heartfelt speech urging “the people of Illinois to make the sacrifices necessary to address the serious challenges we have before us,” including “the integrity challenge, the challenge of our economy and the challenge that we be able to pay our bills.”
Pat, a long-time, well-known good government reformer offered personal, heartfelt testimony about lessons in integrity and service he learned from his parents, including his recently deceased father.
“I think if we have an ethic of service in Illinois where we help our neighbors, we help those who need a helping hand, that’s the best for Illinois.”
“Service to others is the rent we pay for our place on God’s earth.”
The change of occupants in the Illinois governor’s office couldn’t be more stark – or more welcome.

Dear readers-
Lets give Pat a chance? I believe he will do well. Time will tell. Glad to see the writer notes God in his story. As this true my liberal friends.
